RECENT INFORMATION
Music at October Assembly
Any one interested in performing (play &/or sing) a group tribute to the late Tom Petty during the next assembly, Oct 18th, please come to practice in the Music room this Thursday. We are putting the band back together, man! (Thedell)

Adventure Club trip to Porter Falls
October 20, 8:30-12:00. The sign up list is on the bulletin board by the vending machines. This is an easy 1.5 mile walk to a scenic rocky outcropping where two rivers join. Cost: $5 ($3 with Activity sticker) Sponsored by the Adventure Club. Check out the pic Here (Sogn)

PSAT Testing
There are still spots left for 9th, 10th and 11th graders on the PSAT tests available. The PSAT is on Wednesday, October 11th, 8:00 am - Noon. Bring $20 to the office to sign up. (Thedell)

Safe Place Workshops
We will be offering students the opportunity to attend two workshops with Sierra Abrams from SafePlace in the Advisory activity time on October 18th and November 8th. More info can be found on this flyer or ask Nikki for more information. (Winkley)

Math tutors needed
Peer tutors needed for math Fridays from 12:20-2:20 pm. Help students create a better understanding of their Learning Plans and earn Service Learning credit at the same time. Connect with Nikki or Mr. Thedell for more details or to sign up. (Winkley)

Scholarships/Service Learning
Seniors- You can NOW apply for federal student aid by filling out the FAFSA online using you or your family's 2016 tax returns. The sooner the better! Federal funds run out quickly. Please APPLY NOW if you are even considering college or a training program after graduation. If you have not scheduled an appointment to meet with Heather, please do so this week!
If anyone if interested in applying for a Good Citizen scholarship through the Daughters of the American Revolution, please see Heather in the counseling office.
Great opportunity for service learning hours. The STEP program, which brings together teens and elders for through inspired conversation, is looking for new teen members. Call Linda at 360-480-1894 or email her at Linda.terry4@gmail.com or talk to Heather at the counseling office. (Kazda)

Seniors if you have not yet met with Heather to review your credits and transcript and talk about your plan for next year PLEASE fill out the online form or stop by the counselor's office to make an appointment. I've created a link to a form (click here) that students can fill out and send to me when they need to meet with me, either for academic or personal reasons. The hope is that instead of going to Brenda, students can requests appointments directly with me. (Kazda)
