The Store is our new and used building supply store located on the westside of Olympia. The Store is looking for volunteers who are interesting in greening the planet by reducing items in the landfill or building a better community by supporting affordable housing in Thurston County. And remember, all volunteers who give more than 20 hours each month receive 20% off their next purchase!
Volunteers are always needed for all aspects of running the store, including:
Pick up driver/helper
The Store is open 7 days a week, from 9 am to 6 pm.
There are 3 volunteer shifts each day: from 9 am to noon, noon to 3pm, and 3 pm to 6 pm
Building dreams takes lots of behind-the-scenes work from dedicated volunteers, and there are a variety of ways to do this beyond the construction site. Consider joining one of our committees that help SPS Habitat serve the community, volunteer with our office team or at our Store! There are many opportunities for you to support our work!
SPS Habitat has a few specialty volunteer roles that make a major difference in our ability to carry out our mission. If you have any interest in the following areas, please let us know.
Translation Services: On-call volunteers who are fluent in Spanish are needed to translate documents and to translate during meetings and events.
Data Entry Specialists: Help in our Downtown Olympia office with data entry, filing, mailings, and other general office duties. Hours are flexible, but a weekly commitment is requested.
Event Support: We host and attend various community outreach and support programs throughout the year: We always appreciate an extra hand with set-up, registration, and event wrap-up.
