Principal’s Welcome
Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you well rested, rejuvenated, and excited for the upcoming school year. As we prepare for everyone to return to school, I want to take a moment to express a heartfelt welcome to both returning families and new members of our community.
I’m excited for yet another year of Avanti collaboration that will see student academic growth, personal development, and sharing meaningful experiences together. Our dedicated faculty and staff have been hard at work over the summer, preparing engaging curriculum and organizing enriching extracurricular activities. They are committed to providing students with an educational experience that encourages innovative thinking, creativity, mastery and deeper learning, as well as a focus on Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, otherwise known at Avanti as JEDI awareness. We have an ongoing commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive within an educational setting that focuses on academic achievement, character development, leadership, social and environmental justice.
Last year our students began the process of putting color on those bland remodeled walls. As the color continues to spread from hallway to stairwell, Avanti is starting to feel more like home again. That being said, there are many halls left that need some thought and attention. It will be exciting to see what murals this year will bring.
Whether you are a returning student or joining us for the first time, I encourage you to embrace the spirit of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration that defines us as a school community. Together, we will continue to inspire, challenge, and support one another as we strive for excellence in all that we do.
