  • Graduates arrive by 11:00am; go to the main hallway on the first floor.

GRADUATION CEREMONY GUIDANCE

  • Graduates will wear Hunter Green Caps and Gowns (Tassel colors are Silver/Black).
  • If you need a cap or gown loaned to you, see Karen Griggs.
  • Each graduate is allowed 6 guests.  Everyone else can watch from home.
  • The ceremony will be live streamed and the link will be available on the Avanti/OSD Homepage.  The ceremony will be long, so for some guests it will be more comfortable to watch the feed from the comfort of their homes.
  • Guest seating is first come, first served (no reserved or saved seating).
  • Personal Caps and Gowns may be decorated as long as they are school appropriate (see Mike if you have any questions).  Please do not decorate loaned caps/gowns.
  • Special stoles, cultural regalia, leis, and the like are permitted as long as they are school appropriate (again, ask Mike if you have questions).
  • Balloons and other oversized items are discouraged during the ceremony as they may block someone’s view.  Receiving these items after the ceremony concludes is appropriate.
  • Restrooms will be available in the Annex building, adjacent to the garden space.
  • If you borrowed a cap/gown, or would like to donate your undecorated purchased items for a future graduate, please place the items in the box located on the picnic table under the tree near the exit.
  • Diplomas will be available for pick up in the Main Office between June 9 - 18th.  (We do not mail diplomas home)
